Meeting important people at our Thailand staging event

Some pictures from our staging event in Washington, DC – a kind of orientation the day before we got on a plane to fly to Thailand. We did a lot of “getting to know you” exercises so we could start to meet our new “family”; Group 126.

We had a visit from the #2 diplomat from the Thailand Embassy
seeyouin2 = See you in 2 years.
With Glenn, president of the National Peace Corps Association,
which gave all the volunteers a tablet as part of a beta project
using more technology for data collection from the volunteers in the field.
With Erica, director of communications at the NPCA,
whom I’ve been dealing with by email for since last summer
and now we finally get to meet.
