My host family took me, Kailei, Angela and Lydia to Wat Pa Temple. Wat Pa Lelai Worawihan is a very old temple in Suphan Buri Province, located on the west side of Suphanburi River on Malai Man Street, which is in the Mueang Suphanburi District of Tambon Rua Yai. It is believed to have been built some 800 years ago when Suphan Buri was a prosperous community. The local population refers to it as “Wat Pa”, which translates to Temple of Forest.
In addition, the classic Thai poem, Khun Chang-Khun Phan, by Sunthon Phu, is depicted in 60 large mural paintings around a central courtyard.
