One of my group asked me what I was most excited about in Nepal. I thought about it for a minute and said “Just going!”
Back in April when I re-applied, I would go anywhere. And it was just fate that the next country I qualified for was Nepal.
So, you could say Nepal chose me. And for that I’m grateful beyond words.
After such a long wait (I was officially invited in May) what really made it “real” for me was finally getting my ticket to staging in Los Angeles.
Again, I am so lucky that our group is meeting in LA because Ashley, one of my fellow PCVs in Thailand, lives there. She’s going to take the day off and we can spend some time together.
Still working on getting a few last minute items like shoes and such but I’ve still got plenty of time.
And I’ve been able to study Nepali a lot more consistently.
So, at the end of January, I’ll leave my home, traveling to Nepal, the country that touches the sky. And I hope to share more with you as I embark on that adventure
Just another video to wet your appetite for Nepal. Enjoy
