Many of the 125 and 126 Peace Corps Thailand volunteers got together for a very PCV kind of Thanksgiving. A ton of food, good conversation and silly craziness.

Loi Krathong is a festival celebrated in Thailand. It means “to float a basket”, and comes from making krathong, decorated baskets, which are floated on a river

One of the teachers at my school, Teacher Gai, also got married this weekend too. She had her wedding reception outside her home at lunchtime.

I was invited to the wedding reception for Sompong’s nephew who was getting married to the daughter of the Phu Keow School principle. Over 500 for the banquet.

The last day of the training camp, day 3 for teachers and day 2 for students. A huge success but we were all pretty tired when the everyone finally left school.

We had 100 7-8-9th graders at the training camp. PCVs taught the 1st class. For the 2nd class, the Thai teachers would teach the same lesson to another group.

Helped PCV Laura with her husband Zack with a Teacher Training Camp. First day we trained the teachers, and the following two days the students will come.

The village held an “end of Buddhist lent” fundraiser. It was fun helping everyone prepare. There was a long parade through the streets to the temple.
