The City Center is home to some of the most significant historic sites in the country. It’s a must-see National Historic Landmark. Start your tour at Independence Hall. This is the exact spot where both the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution were signed! These landmarks are at the heart of American history and offer a glimpse into the birth of the nation.

Then head to the nearby Betsy Ross House. This historic site is where Betsy Ross allegedly sewed the first American flag. It’s a fascinating look into the life of one of the country’s most famous figures. The Betsy Ross House offers tours and interactive exhibits too. You can learn about the life of Betsy Ross and her contributions to the American Revolution.

From there, make your way to the National Constitution Center. This museum is an interactive celebration of the U.S. Constitution and its role in shaping the nation. “The Story of We the People” exhibit is a must-see if you’re interested in American history and government.

If you’re short on time, a walking tour or hop-on, hop-off bus tour is a great way to see the historic highlights of the City Center. These tours offer a guided experience that takes you to all the must-see sites. And they provide insight into their historical significance. The historic highlights of Philadelphia’s City Center are not to be missed.
