There was a huge procession making its way through the village for a monk ordination. But this time it was for 3 young men becoming monks in the village. Lots of singing and dancing. And it seemed the whole village was participating.

That’s a full band sitting on top of giant speakers.One of the lovely singers to help the people celebrate.At the temple, the three men about to be ordained are hoisted onto shoulders.The last few steps before monk-hood.During all the festivities, the monks-to-be threw out these ornate ribbon flowers that had coins inside.
